Ergonomics are a big deal and can dramatically affect how well your bike performs for you. Bar risers can sometimes be a critical component in getting your bike setup for you. There are lots of cheap versions out there and some really fancy ones. The ZETA bar risers strike a balance between quality and clean aesthetics without being expensive for the sake of being expensive.
